Event announcements Reunions, the anniversary celebrations and anything else the Union runs. Usually six to eight emails a year.

The termly newsletter News from the school, past pupil profiles, obituaries and archive finds. Three times a year, at the end of each term.

Volunteering and mentoring Occasional asks — helping at an event, organising your year group, speaking to students about your work, or joining the committee.

I’ve read the privacy notice and I’m happy for the PPU committee to hold these details for the purposes I’ve ticked above.

What happens after you submit this

1 We email you a confirmation link One email, straight away. Nothing is added to our list until you click the link in it — that's how we know the address really belongs to you.
2 You click it, and that's the signup done You land directly on your own details page, so the very first thing you see is exactly what we hold and how to change it.
3 Keep the welcome email It contains your private link back to that page. No password to remember, and no account to create.
4 Never clicked the link? We delete the record Incomplete signups are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you don't confirm, we don't keep it.

What we ask for, and why

Name Required: So we can address you properly and print a name badge at a reunion.
Email address Required: The only way we contact you. It's also your route back into your own record.
Year you left Optional: Lets us tell you when your year group has a milestone reunion coming up. Genuinely useful, and genuinely optional.
Phone number Optional: Only for last-minute changes to an event you've booked — a venue change, a cancelled fixture. Never used for marketing and never shared.

Your rights, without asking us

Most organisations make you email someone and wait a month. From the link in any of our emails you can do all of this yourself, immediately:

See every field we hold about you
Correct anything that's wrong
Download the lot as a file, including the log of your own consent
Change what we contact you about
Unsubscribe from everything
Delete your record permanently, with written confirmation by email
